Photographer’s Note
A view of the smartly painted war memorial, in the little village of Bussière-Badil; in the background stands the parish church of Notre-Dame and Saint-Michel.
Bussière-Badil is a commune in the north of the département of Dordogne, South-West France located just over 14 kilometres north-west of the town of Nontron. Having a population of just over 500, its inhabitants are known as Bussiérois. Like much of the Dordogne, its economy relies to a certain extent on tourism.

Good morning Stephen,
A fine combination of thie old chuch with the "usual" war memorial. There are too amny of these memorials, both in France and in Germany, and I hope that the European Union will save us from them in the future.
Good colours and composition!
Kind regards
Gunnar

Hi Stephen,
The statue seem metallic. Very good composition but this town seem desolate. I like the details and proper placement of the guardian. It look like a beautiful little town. Thanks :-)

Stephen,
This is a nicely composed shot with the memorial providing balance for the church. The street creates a nice diagonal through the shot creating direction. The lighting and colors are fine with nice sharpness and detail. The deep blue sky provides an excellent backdrop for the shot as well as providing contrast for the stone buildings.
TFS,
Asa

Bonjour Stephen,

Hello Stephen. All picture elements are very beautifully combined. The sculpture with the silver gloss is unusually, - and perhaps therefore a eyecatcher. The large cartridge cases are interesting…. Altogether a photo worth seeing. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Hello Stephen!
Although I'd cut out that "piece" of car on the right side of the picture, all the rest continues to please me just as much as all your other photo jobs!
The off-centered composition was a very good idea and it works very nicely regarding visual results!
The buildings, the statue and the vegetation are looking so beautiful here too!
TFS - congratulations!
Best regards,
Neyvan

Bonjour Stephen
