Photographer's Note

Nimes is an old city in the south of France. In time of the romans was an important city of Galia and several monuments remain from that time like this one and the Maison Carré. Nimes has also modern buildings designed by architects like Sir Norman Foster, Jean Nouvel and Philippe Starck.
The building here is the roman amphitheatre from the first century. It is almost 2000 years old and today is still in use !!!
Bullfight takes place here during the five days long feast. The you can also drink good vine, eat paella and dance "sevillanas".
I recommend to enjoy there in a Thursday of summer a dinner at a table on the narrow streets close to this building.
I love Nimes: a little Rome in France with a spanish heart.
