Photographer's Note
An image of Paris with a very autumnal atmosphere. We can see the Seine river, part of L'Ile de la Cité, and the Pont Neuf.
Begun to construct in 1578 by king Henri III and interrupted its construction by the wars of Religion, from 1588 to 1599, it was inaugurated in 1607 by king Henri IV.
This is the oldest bridge in Paris, it was the first stone bridge without houses, and first with sidewalks. The bridge is made up of two different parts, and it has inspired through the centuries to the Artists.
The original photo was taken in 2000 with my Minolta camera using Kodak Ultra film.
Scanned time ago, now I have rotated it, cut, chosen automatic levels, ascent the saturation, turned to Black & White, cut again, cleaned cloning certain points, resized.
The final result is, I think, one image that seems very old and with an autumnal magical atmosphere.
I hope you like it.

Just some few steps more to the left and you would have captured the view of Henri Cartier-Bresson! Well done, Pablo. I like the presentation in b&w, gives your shot a 'old-age' mood. Well done, leading the eye to the main subject by the quay and the house's line.

Nice view of the Conciergerie on the left. I'm not sure but I think it has been cleaned up since this picture.
The B&W gives a good idea of how gloomy Paris can be in winter and autumn.
I see that you are kind of "in love" with Paris. Is there a theme for users to put their pictures of Paris? I think we could post a few nice ones...

Pablo.

Hola Pablo, and happy New Year to you. I really enjoy how the b&w and the contrast enhance the mood of this scene from Paris. Of course you also composed it well with the row of magnificent old buildings at the left, and the view of Pont Neuf. Well done.

Saludos,
Marisa
