'Painting with Light', a photo from Poitou-Charentes, Ouest

Photographer's Note

A second series of pictures from Saint-Palais-de-Négrignac, this time taken with my new camera.

Saint-Palais-de-Négrignac is a French commune in the département of Charente-Maritime, region Poitou-Charente. It lies 5.5 kilometres north of the cantonal town of Montlieu-la-Garde.

With a population of 365 at the 2006 census, it covers an area of 18.51 square kilometres, giving a population density of 20 inhabitants per square kilometre. It varies in altitude from 53 metres above sea level to a maximum of 141.

At the time of the Revolution, the commune bore the name of Négrignac-Lary.

Hello Stephen, Just returned to TrekEarth. Glad to see you have such a nice shot to see. I love the combination of arches here. Great POV to capture the altter. The stained glass window at the end provides an excellent termination for this shot. Albeit the pew area is a bit dark, the lighting is sufficient to provide a great presentation. Regards, Roger

Gorgeous, Stephen. The title is most appropriate with the focal point illuminated by those adjacent windows. The resolution captured by your new camera is perfect. Did you have to correct the perspective at all, considering that the facing walls appear perfectly parallel to each other.

Hi Stephen. For this photo you have chosen a very appropriate title. The sanctuary was designed in bright light. I like this simple church in the Gothic style very well. Rgds wolfgang.
