Hola Elias:

Bonjour,
Sujet original.
Bonne journée.

Try to look in history of France and surely from this place, like in some other places in the world, the statues faces has been erased during revolutions of all kind. This one could have been done during 1789 and following years of French revolution when republicans decided some church leaded by non republican priests had to be deleted or close to public. But also in this part of Aquitaine a religion war in earlier times between catholics and Protestants. :-)) Or simply a bad storage outside for this kind of stone :-)) I don't know but here are the directions.
The composition is a bit too small but quite good and with a question.
