The stately Louvre palace beckoned me from across the fountain on an unseasonably warm day in February. But just as I snapped the picture, a gull, one of the many shouldering the more traditional pigeons and sparrows out of the way for breadcrumbs these days, flew right into my frame transforming it in an instant with an unexpected juxtaposition....
