Photographer’s Note

When I was a kid, always love stories about kingdom, prince and princess, fairies, in the land far far away.

Well I supposed until now, I love seeing their beauties, especially if you can see with your own eyes. The glamours, the richness, the beauty, all attract me, and thousands other visitors to Annecy last week end, during the carnaval of Annecy.

For me, maybe it's already the 5th time seeing the carnaval, still enjoy it. especially in a beautiful place like annecy, and on a beautiful day.
lots of other photographers. young and old, with pockets and DSLRs.

I didn't take much photos though, only a few around the lake, and made an imaginative love story , I hope you like it :D.

I do not usually like these rich carnival masks, but your misty background makes this picture really special - fairy tale like.

Good to be neighbours today. :-) So this is a photo of this year's carnaval. Beautiful portrait photo of the princess. The light is lovely and the foggy lake is a great background. Very well done, thanks for sharing!

J'aime bien ce personnage qui se détache sur ce fond gris brumeux.
Tu as bien joué sur la profondeur de champ et sur les couleurs toutesen nuances à la limite du noir et blanc.

The framing is a bit out of conventions having the person look at the frame border but somehow it doesn't look so bad here, and I like the foggy background as well, a different and original picture.

the thing that is more interesting in this photo is the background !
it's perfect for your subject.a dreamy one that pulls us to the old stories.
a great light you had and well controlled it and a great contrast you reached,too.
Yes,for me,it's attrctive the stories about kingdom, prince and princess, fairies, in the land far far away,but you know that Iran is a reach land in this point !

your treatment on this well composed portrait creates a special mood that is not really affected by the harsh cropping of the hat. the love story you created is cute and the original version of this image is very eye-catching!

Hi Cessy. I just left a critique on one of your balloon shots, and I was about to close my browser when I spotted this one in your thumbnails. What a contrast in styles! The desaturated backgrund works very well here and produces a sort of dreamy atmosphere. I haven't been to one of these carnivals, but I would imagine the photo ops are endless. Excellent work.
