Museum National D'Historie Naturelle - Jardin des Plantes, Paris

First floor hall is to show a hierarchy among the animals..
I was the last visitor that day and saw the exhibition compeletely empty..
Human being as the leader.. the parade of animals skielletons marching with the leadership of my relative.. thrilling emotion.. Such an enormous responsibilty carried by that, compared to big whales in the back, fragile construction of bones and muscles..

Hi Agnieszka,

we rarely see pictures with such a strong philosophical background here. Makes me think about the whole world order and world disorder..
and it´s thrilling and eldrich at the same time.

Wracam tu jeszcze raz: - tlo szkieletow doskonale podkresla pierwszy plan ! Kadr jest naprawde mocny. Mocniejszy od zwierzakow G - moim skromnym zdaniem.

Très belle photo, et totalement d'actualité à l'heure où l'homme se croit au dessus de toute forme de vie. Qu'il regarde derrière lui, pour se rendre compte de ce qu'il a à perdre.
Voilà ce que m'inspire cette photo.

Hi Agnieszka,
Do you know when this exhibit hall was constructed? The idea of a hierarchy and leadership based on brain power seems like quite a 19th-century positivistic vision of man’s place in the world. Personally I’d be inclined to a more modern view of the human figure pursued by an army of animal ghosts seeking revenge for the world that he is destroying, but that doesn’t seem to be what the curator had in mind.
Anyway, it’s a very powerful and thought-provoking image.

Widzê, ¿e lubisz robiæ zdjêcia ludziom. ¦wietn± masz galeriê. Zdzdroszczê Ci tego, ¿e mog³a¶ byæ w tym muzeum. Ja jestem rehabilitantk± i zawsze chcia³em tam pojechaæ, lubiê ogl±daæ miê¶nie na ¿ywo i w formalinie, to takie zboczenie zawodowe he he. A tak ogólnie jestem normalna.
