Photographer’s Note
A little chapel in South of France
In the hills behind the little village Banyuls Sur Mer you will find this little chapel: Notre Dame de Salette.
Overlooking the vineyards and 'protecting' Banyuls. Situated at the foot of the Pyreenes.
Not the best weather this week - but fine enough for some hikes in the vineyards along the Mediterranean Coast close to the Spanish border.
From www.banyuls-sur-mer.com
The chapel has been built in 1863 by Bonaventure Reig certainly after a pilgrimage in La Chapelle-Tallavaux, a little village in Isère where in 1846 two young sheperd had an apparition.
It can be reached on a track leading off the "Route des Cretes" or on foot. There is an annual pilgrimage each September. It is now a national monument.

Hallo Jack!
A wonderful and somehow touching little chapel. You photographed it in a skillful way and I like especially the buildup of this picture very much! This must be a lovely place ...
Greetings from very warm Germany!

Une image sympa mais qui aurait pu être meilleur car le ciel n'est pas à la fête ici.
Je me suis permis un petit WS pour voir si l'image avait plus d'impact en noir et blanc. Tu me diras ce que tu en penses.

Hello Jack
Good graqphism of the tree at right, with superb colour, sharpness & contrast. Excellent pov, with nice repetition of the fg yellow flowers. Tfs!
