[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
A short series of simple compositions depicting the village of Budos.

Budos is a small village (population just over 600), which stands on the river Ciron in the Graves wine growing area of the Gironde département. It is located not far from the much more famous wine village of Sauternes. As may be imagined, the principal economic activity of the village is viticulture.

Budos is also one of the largest sources of water for the region, providing water to the southern part of the Bordeaux conurbation.

Bonjour Stephen

Good colour sharpness & diffused lighting. I like the subtle colour contrast between the red tiled roof & blue grey sky. Tfs!

Hi, friend!
Next interesting photo about architecture and nature. Good composition. I like your stones architecture. Good colours.
Marek

First of all, I wonder what kind of trees those are, they are so pretty! The colors and pov are very nice. I especially like the roof top. Very nice with the flowers blooming. TFS

Bonjour Stephen,

Hi Stephen,
good. to preserve these buildings, especially when they are beautiful like this one and placed in a great parklike environment.
Regards, Gerrit

Hi Stephen.
I was drawn to this shot, because I was intrigued by the lavoir (with its little removable iron 'dam' that a friend took delight in putting in or taking out) in the village of Cenac, also in Aquitaine, and had intended to take some photos of it while I was there in June. But I never got around to it. I particularly like the lavoirs of French villages, and this one is very picturesque and obviously well cared for. I imagine it's possible that those trees have been savagely pruned to stop the boughs from dragging or falling on the roof. This is a pleasing shot of it, with gentle colour tones and light, and setting it nicely against the background. I'll have to look Burdos up in the atlas now.
Regards,
Andrew
