She was standing alone on the bench in the middle of the mob, standing out from the big crowds that July 14th usually draws out, at night, to enjoy the fireworks show in town.

Was it an eccentric but inevitable and, of course, romantic, appointement? But I didn't see him coming... Where the hell was he?

The high volume music made it hard to hear anything at the phone. Difficult to arrange a meeting in this conditions. And she probably wanted to dance, to move...but the kidnapper was late.

I was furious for her... I don't like to wait.

Elle se tenait debout, seule, sur le banc, se démarquant de la foule que le 14 juillet draîne habituellement en ville la nuit, à l'occasion des feux d'artifices.

Était-ce un excentrique mais immanquable, et évidemment, romantique, rendez-vous? Mais je ne l'ai pas vu venir... bon sang, mais où était-il ?

La musique à plein volume rendait presque impossible d'entendre quoi que ce soit au téléphone. Difficile d'organiser une rencontre dans ces conditions. Et elle avait probablement envie de danser, de bouger mais le kidnappeur se faisait attendre...

J'étais furieuse pour elle... je n'aime pas attendre.

Hé Ho ! Trésor, on se dépêche!

Je suis partie avant elle, je ne sais donc pas ce qui s'est passé ensuite.
