Fine quiet water and smart composition in cold colours,
Regards.

Maybe you should have had the bottom of someone's leg poking into the frame (a swimmer, I guess) just so we'd know this was a "delnaja" photo!

It's not quite the usual "postcard" because that would have to be oversaturated--here the tones are quite subdued, creating a certain somber mood, despite the blue skies. I like the composition, but perhaps the buildings and bridge don't have to be quite so dark. Anyway, it's a different take on a classical shot, which is generally a good thing. Regards, Ken.

salut Fred,

you may send this postcard to me ;))
it's indeed "classic" but there's nothing wrong with that, just different. i admit that i prefer "non-classic" photos but i think also this kind of photography has its value !!!! i like it, it looks very nice there , quiet for my old ears ;DD
take care, inn ;)

But what happened to you, my dear Fred? Have you been drinking too much mineral water?? Experimenting... the mainstream??? I mean, if this was an old photo, an earlier period of yours... Whatever.. it cannot be turned into one of your style, but maybe it can be given a less conventional look (WS)... Rdgs, Daniel

TE's ghostbusters rigoletto and delnaja begin selling postcards :))
well, who cares: a photo is a photo, but i invite ourselves to let the art stay as art ;)

Bonjours,

Hi Frederic,
a relaxing, crystal clear and fresh mood. Good image formation with the bridge at the right, which adds depth.
Compliments, Chris

Hi Fred,
Love people's comments to this pic of yours! We're so used to your 'style' that I'd consider this one a bit off the beaten track my friend.
It's a lovely classical mirrored composition: slightly darker reflection as it has to be if you want to get 'the' perfect reflection.
You also managed a good horizon.
I find the shadows too closed, particularly the ones on the trees and bricks. Those shadows need a bit of work to show more detail.
I am in love with those gorgeous lampposts....
Kind regards,
Maria
