Could it get more idyllic (in the French way)?? As a North-European, these small villages clinging to the mountainside are definitely something else. The architecture is very well preserved, and the vista just invites to opening a bottle of good red wine...

Shot from Provence in the area between Nimes and Rosans, where we spent my last birthday last July. The area is a wine district and the landscape is nice, very green and dotted with small medieval villages.
The trip was something like last-minute get-away from Barcelona's hot climate and hordes of tourists. We just rented a Renault (bien sur), and drove up there, (approximately 8 hours). |

A very nice composition here, Henrik, to show the beautiful context. No modern buildings mixed with the old--that's nice, really picturesque! But I think you could bring out a lot more in postprocessing, curing the overexposed sky and making the foreground less blue. Regards, Ken.
