Not exactly a landscape but a cityscape... taken in the british cemetery in Mazargues. You'll know more about the cemetery itself in the next days with my following shot. This one is just a fantasy...
Cemeteries are not supposed to be convenient and usual places for fantasy but this cemetery is so charming, luminous, with its green, freshly cut lawn and its surprising water channels, the whole cemetery looking like a garden well kept alive, with fresh flowers and a little pool.
It is surrounded by buildings of the city. I captured one of those buildings reflection in the water channel. Life melted with death...
As has said Antoine de Lavoisier : Matter can neither be created nor destroyed, only transformed...
Dedicated to Patrick Yangguizi, a french traveller who went to Africa for the first time last july, only for 15 days in Ouganda and died suddenly, at 32, on the way to Margharita Peak, Ruwenzori mountains, from an oedema. Peace to his soul!

Pas exactement un paysage mais un paysage urbain... photographié dans le cimetière anglais de Mazargues. Vous en saurez davantage au sujet du cimetière lui-même dans les jours suivants, avec une photo à venir.
Celle-ci est juste une fantaisie...
Les cimetières ne sont pas supposés être des endroits qui se prêtent à la fantaisie mais ce cimetière est si charmant, lumineux, avec sa verte pelouse fraîchement coupée et ses étonnants canaux, tout le cimetière ressemble à un jardin bien soigné, bien entretenu, avec des fleurs fraîches et une petite pièce d'eau. Il est entouré par des bâtiments de la ville. J'ai capturé le reflet d'un de ces bâtiments dans le canal. La vie se mêle ainsi à la mort... et comme l'a si bien dit Antoine de Lavoisier : "Rien ne se perd, rien ne se crée, tout se transforme"
Dédié à Patrick Yanguizi, un voyageur français qui est allé en Afrique pour la première fois en juillet cette année, pour seulement 15 jours en Ouganda, et qui est mort soudainement, à 32 ans, sur le chemin du pic Margharita, dans le massif du Ruwenzori, à la suite d'un oedème pulmonaire. Paix à son âme ! |

J'aime ton image un peu comme une aquarelle avec de jolie couleurs pastelle! Le format carré est vraiment bien adapté!

J'aime beaucoup ces reflets colorés. Je me souviens d'un soir de Toussaints en Guadeloupe où je me suis faite embarquée par ma voisine, pour aller dans un cimetière, sur la tombe de son frère. C'était illuminé de partout, des bougies rouges qui tranchaient sur les carreaux blancs et noirs (typique là-bas, le cimetière de Morne à l'eau). On a mangé sur la tombe, les enfants jouaient et courraient partout. C'est très destabilisant quand on vient avec sa culture française.

jolie composition avec cette sorte de double-flèche en bas comme si tu voulais envoyer un message: "la vie continue...", c'est surtout ta note qui m'a inspiré cela.

Bonjour,
Il est très sympathique ce reflet. Les joints noir sur ce muret forment des flèches et le point rouge au centre un interet visuel, bravo !

Effective and well presented abstraction.
For myself, I'd much rather look at this than a row of graves.
Side issue: "In Mazargues" would, I think, be more effective, presented in this manner.

Très belle compo, originale et créative alors que le matériel de départ paraît assez banal. J'aime bien le cadre aussi.
Ce cimetière, ça fait des années que je passe devant en me disant qu'un jour je rentrerais...

hello Marine,
I'm enjoying my coffee break and spending it the best possible way - browsing TE :) and I found this interesting abstraction in your gallery, I like it a lot. the mood of every city is constantly changing, and I thing the slightly distorted reflection is an interesting way to illustrate that. the bold blue of the sky is a good background for the red accent, very nice work.
