[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
Cap Corse is quite amazing because for a relatively small area, there are many different types of beaches: white sand, grey sand, ones covered in smooth black stones and one's with colourful stones like this one. Actually the stones were so hot I had to stand on my towel to take this photo. Wading into the sea is not that easy as the stones were quite slippery but the water was the warmest I've had in Corsica. So warm that a couple of jellyfish were having a swim too. Thankfully no-one got stung.

--------------------------------

Hallo Nikki!
What a wonderful pattern! All these forms, srtructures and materials create an amazing whole - a tiny universe - a really beautiful one ...
Greetings from an a bit autumnal Germany!
Frank

Hi Nikki,
What I miss here in the shot of stones and pebbles is the water.
Doesn't matter whether its warm or cold, jellyfish woudn't sting.
I am of the opinion that the black frame would have suited this shot more then the white frame.
Any way.............opinion is just opinion.

Take care,

Rajeev

salut Nikki,
c'est coloré et plein de textures. Sympa.

Philippe

Hi Nikki,

A nice view of pebbles in Corsica, but I have to admit a bit boring. (very unusual for you) Maybe you are in the enviable/uneviable position of being expected to be extraordinary most of the times. Maybe a black frame would help, as mentioned above. The texture/colour of the stones is very good, of course.

Hello Nikki. The way you included the red stone and driftwood shapes in contrast to the balance of the frame turned out to be a very effective abstract photo. I like the results. Thanks for sharing!

The English landscapers troupe led by Joe Cornish and David Ward call these photos "intimate" landscapes. I have been reading some books by them lately and I decided that I have to start paying attentions to these no horizon landscapes. I love the colors, the red stones and the vertical stick. Simple, but very effective.

une presque marietomade corse
bravo nikky
excellent

Hi Nikki,

Excellent sharpness and unique idea. There is a warm feeling to the shot.

Thanks for sharing

Salut Nikki,

Bien vu !

Nikki,
I like that you see the simple things in life and find so much beauty in them, and you captured them well to share, and a good photographer can find a good composition that make just about anything look beautiful. The clarity, the sharpness and color and light all together make this image worth while most people wouldn't have take notice. Thanks for the beauty in simple things.
Way
