Photographer’s Note
Situated on the Vosgian heights above Husseren les Chateaux and Eguisheim, the Wahlenbourg dungeon is part of a complex of three ruined castles that make a popular short hike to enjoy sunny autumn days, something to tell you there is mor to see than vineyards around here.
First built in 1006 on a former Roman outpost, this castle has been rebuilt several times as local struggles between the regional powers at this time frequently ended up in the loosers castle being sacked to the ground.

Exposure: f/11, 1/40 seconds, you kept in mind the DOF but it should be balanced, well done but it looks a bit leaned back..

Hello Jean-Yves,
Très belle tour qui me fait penser à la Tour de Gourze au dessus de lac Léman.
La vue doit y être très jolie. Une couleur de ciel toujours impressionnante.
Bien vu !

JY,
This is a fine shot taken from a great POV. The upward view of the tower gives it a look of domination. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and DOF. The great sky provides a good backdrop for the shot.

Asa

Hi Jean.
For sure should be a lovely hicking route this one...similar I suppose to the French Cathar Castles.
About the picture, nice colours. The only pity is that I'd prefered more "white" in the clouds but...it's a pity.

Hello Jean-Yves,
A good capture of this ancient chateau, which has much history to teach us. I like the layered effect and the vivid colours.

The first thing that really strikes me about this is the rich and saturated colour, which gives the image good visual impact. Nice contrast of colours too, between the warm stones and the cool blue sky. Great work!

Salut Jean-Yves,
Toi tu aime le bleu ... ;o)))
Belle prise en contre plongée, idéale pour mettre en valeur ce genre de sujet.
Bonne soirée.

Hello Jean Yves,
what curious red stones used for the castle! The better for a pleasant effect with the deep blue sky in the background. Interesting.
Best whishes

Bonjour Jean Yves,
Un cadrage vertical tout à fait réussi!
Les couleurs de la pierre, des arbustes et du ciel ressortent à merveille!
As-tu utilisé un filtre ou est-ce un effet réalisé en PP?
Amicalement
Jean-Luc
