Postdamer Platz Flatiron I
900 Pixel Beta Version

Next stop is the Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. An Eldorado for Flatiron-lovers. Three modern flatiron-like buildings on a row, design by top architects.
Forum Tower (Renzo Piano) – Kohlhoff Tower (Hans Kohlhoff) – Bahn tower (Helmut Jahn)

I start with a picture of the Forum Tower of Renzo Piano. This picture shows the building in the evening during the festival of lights 2014 in Berlin
Standing 70 metres high and boasting 18 floors, Forum Tower is one of the three tallest buildings at Potsdamer Platz. Italian architect Renzo Piano created a prominent landmark for the new city centre with this edifice. In dialogue with the neighbouring tower, Potsdamer Platz 1 (Kohlhoff Tower), this skyscraper forms the northern boundary of the quarter. From its triangular base to its glass tip, it points elegantly and precisely as a compass needle at Potsdamer Platz. The double glass façade ensures natural, energy-efficient cooling of the office tower, while the terracotta-clad rear of the building progressively staggers down to the height of the neighbouring structures.
