[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
Last weekend I visited the small town Burgdorf not far away north-east from Hanover (In German: Hannover) with its beautiful Old Town. Burgdorf today has about 30000 inhabitants. It first was mentioned in 1279 and during the centuries it was afflicted by several serious fires.
It's interesting that some of these devastating fires were caused bei mass cremations during the Thirty Years' War and during the times of pestilence - often commanded by ruthless military. In 1632 nearly the whole town thus was destroyed by fire and only some houses could be saved from the flames. One of them you can see in my photo. It probably was built at the beginning of the 17th century and today it houses a beautiful rustic and quaint tavern.
With regard to some of the beams I assure that there's no tilt at all in the photo! ;-)

Hello Frank,
You have a perfect POV. Repeating shapes and colors in the structures are attractive. Details are sharp and clear. I enjoyed your note. This seems like a nice place to visit.
Warm wishes,
Betty

Hallo Frank. Fachwerkhäuser in Deutschland.

An example of architecture style I really like. Fine house and smart photo. Detailed note, as well.
Regards my dear friend.

Guten Morgen Frank,

I like the typical half-timbered houses, you chose a very good angle, we see excellent the depth beside the house.
This care for nice perspective.
One advice my friend, I would the part of the car in the corner remove.
Very well done, TFS.

Best regards,
John.

Hello Frank,
A very good capture of this beautiful half-timbered building. A good a point of view to show us the double aspect; just a slight pity you were unable to avoid the car on the extreme left. Good lighting with some interesting light and shadow play. Very good colours and clarity.

Tolles Gebaüde!
Gut "shot", Frank!

Frank,
This is a fine old building which has been captured form a great angle giving the scene nice depth and direction. The lighting and colors are fine with nice sharpness and detail. Are you sure that the photo is not tilted or did you spend a little time in the tavern prior to taking the shot :)
TFS,
Asa

Mass cremations? It's something in a way corresponding with my lovely last photo, oh well.
Great view, to hell those human onslaught things, world are so beautiful and interesting when men starts to built something good!
Greetings!

Hallo Frank,
Harriet

Hi Frank,
There are certainly so many old towns in Germany with all these half-timbered houses. Burgdorf is probably not unique according to German "standards" but it looks interesting enough to be worth a visit when rushing southward on BAB 7, as we have done many times.
Greetings from Gothenburg
Gunnar

Hallo Frank!
Beautiful piece of Niedersachsen. The quality of your capture is very good, showing nice details and beautiful colours. I like that tree in front of the house, where the tables are inviting on the street.
Regards from our warm Curitiba,
Zeca

hello Frank,
In Wielkopolska this kind of the architecture comes together often. I will say even that it was lacking to me something, if suddenly such houses would disappear from this region of Poland. These on Your photo not youngest, but continually in the superb form and beautifully well-groomed neat. And this what I like very much: the pavement on streets. Very nice, reporter shot.
Best regards from cloudy Poznan,
Jurek

Bonsoir Frank,
