Photographer's Note

More and more of the generators like you can see on the lower right, are being set up. They are driven by wind and generate electricity. I don´t know the height, maybe 70 or 90 meters. They look huge when seen from close.

The tower carrying the air-screw and the generator is hollow, with a door at the bottom. Maintenance technicians can enter the tower through that door and climb up to the generator housing on top to work there.

When the wind is strong enough to drive the air-screw to some speed, the long blades move very fast through the air and make a kind of hissing noise.

Though these generators are useful, they are very ugly spots in the landscape. A lot of them have even been built into the sea.

The rainbow is from the few raindrops the thunderstorm that didn´t break out yesterday had spent. You could walk on it ;)
