Photographer's Note

This is one of the many "Kapellenschulen" of my region - completely renovated. These buildings, beginning about 1650, were used weekdays for holding of instructions and on sunday or holidays for church services.
After the institution of these schools and before the compulsory education was established (in Germany generally in 1919!) in summer the school attendance was only a quarter of the attendance in winter. The reason for this was the naturally child labour at these days, especially in agriculture. In winter children were more "dispensable"...
In the first time the instruction of reading and writing only was based on the bible. The next subject in my region was - singing! Incredible, because mathematics was established as a subject not untill ~ 1800. Mathematics remained second rated for a long time. The subject "fruit growing" was established about 1780!
Well, enough of this, but seeing such an old renovated building, I try to get some knowledge about it's history...
Today it's used for family celebrations and similar events in the village.
