Photographer's Note

My today's photo shows a part of the low mountain range Rothaargebirge not far away from the small town Schmallenberg. It was taken from the look-out on top of mount Wilzenberg (658 m) in a north eastern direction. The 360° panorama from up there really is stunning because Wilzenberg is standing separately from the main ridge of Rothaargebirge. You can see it HERE.
In the map view (right hand) I put the marker at this look-out.

In the valley you can see the village Oberkirchen with its slate roofs and left hand on the horizon you can see the second highest mountain of my state Nordrhein-Westfalen, the "Kahler Asten" with an altitude of 841 m. One can detect its tower with meteorological station which overtops a bit the forest there.

This part of the panorama caught my eyes becaue of the multifaceted pattern of fields, pastures and forests.
This region really is a paradise for hikers...
