St. John Nepomuk

The homelessness of the Catholic community Göllheims ended only in 1815 with the construction of Holy Cross Church. Since this was fast but dilapidated, was replaced in 1911 by the Church of St. John Nepomuk. The building, also known as "Nordpfälzer Cathedral", was built in the historicist style of late Gothic and has a very harmonious entity. Inside the church is a baptismal font created in 1500. He was originally placed in a chapel in Kerzenheim and home was convicted in 1826 in the then-new Holy Cross Church.

The Kerzenheimer Gate

The "Kerzenheimer gate" stands in the place of "pilgrimage gate", one of the three gates of Göllheimer attachment. From this structure is still a notch in the form of a hole in the ground floor of the gate circuits receive. The "Kerzenheimer gate" was built in 1776. The two-story building originally served as the gateway and customs house, next to it was also used for a long time as a residential building. Today the Kerzenheimer gate the "Little Gallery", are held regularly in the exhibitions.

Night watchman / constable / gooseherd

The three bronze figures in the late 80s based on a design created by Theo Roerig remember at the New Market Square, the Old Town Hall and the old gate to the Kerzenheimer Gate. You point the shepherd geese, the constable and night watchman figures who played earlier in the community life of the village an important role.
