Hello Harriet.
A very pleasing, 'minimalist' picture, beautifully conveying space and silence. The colour is nicely saturated, with the green grasses looking quite natural. Each of the objects in the water looks to have its own place in the scheme of things, with that still water giving the scene a kind of permanence. The few scattered clouds lend a summery atmosphere, heralding more fine weather.
If I were to suggest something - perhaps the top of the photo could be cropped a little bit to make it a little broader and raise the horizon in the frame. But it looks very pleasing as it is, a summer idyll near the Baltic. I went to that area on only one day in my whole life, and sadly I can barely remember it. But it was 25 years ago, so I forgive myself.

Very fine, calm water with the boat casting beautiful reflections on the surface. Several elements contribute to the composition, such as the seaweed making a dark area on the bottom, a few rocks, the green reeds.

Das sieht so Friedlich aus,wunderschön!Du hast das Bootin Deiner Kompo perfekt platziert und die Boje und die Drei Steine zur Linken machen die Komposition perfect.Ein wenig mehr Schärfe würde nicht schaden aber es gefällt mir auch so,besonders der Kontrast zwischen Grün und Blau.

Lovely simple image of the little sail boat making a soothing reflection in the calm water of the quiet bay.

Hi Harriet,
I am one who always appreciate a simple composition such as this. While appears simple, there is quite a lot to see in this shot. I was thinking about suggesting to crop out the Fg to bring the boat and the grass down to 1/3 level, but then I changed my mind as that would lost the colour and relection of the lone mast in the water. I think all you need is a little more contrast and saturation to this well executed photo.

Hello Harriet,

Very simple in its subject but very well conceived for its atmosphere. Each of the images appears to have been perfectly placed within the frame for maximum effect.
The colour tones keep a continuity which is gently divided bu the distant tree line.

A slight crop from the sky would lift the tree line for improved composition and elevate the boat mast. (This is just a little personal advice and in no way denagrates the quality of the shot, my friend.)

This is a nicely composed shot with the boat placed off center balanced by the reeds opposite it. The darks areas of the water creating nice contrast and good points of interest. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail.
