departing cranes?

Cranes again.
This time it is Marzipan Town again.
There is a recent cranes-related story about Lubeck.
Lubeck has this small airport for cheap airlines. They wanted to make it bigger. But ecology fans, or may be just people who live close to the airport and do not like the noise, they found out that there is a single couple of cranes coming there to breed in the forest next to the airport. That was a reason they decided not to build a second starting lane in this airport.
But all kinds of cranes are endangered these days.
These cranes in the picture here, even if not used anymore, were preserved as souvenirs, to keep the atmosphere of this place intact.
That evening I was on my way to take a blue hour shot of one of the Lubeck medieval town gates. The gate is really pretty, however standing on the bridge in front of the gate I realized that on the right hand side I can still see a beautiful sunset.
This photo is, you may say, a side effect of that trip. |
