This photo was taken Near Bacharach at Rhine River. The monument at the right recorded a famous battle event led by Gebhard Leberecht Von Blucher. The castle in the middle is Pfalzgrafenstein (Die Pfalz) castle built on an island in the middle of Rhine River. The castle on the hill at the far upper left is Castle Burg Gutenfels.
The white patches on the hill above the monument are snow.

Just thinking your shot itself, I like that you have that monument so right, allmost at the corner. Landscape could have been better quality, but as said, this is very well composed and balanced. Classic way to make informative shot. Keep going, Wes.
