Photographer's Note

Old town in Dresden seen from the observation tower (see my yesterdays picture).

In the photo you can see
- the tower of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, commissioned by Augustus III, Elector of Saxony and King of Poland, built from 1738 to 1751,
- the Royal Castle, the residence of the electors and kings of Saxony (1547–1918),
- on the right the tower of the Church of Our Lady, built in the 18th century, destroyed in the bombing of Dresden during World War II and reconstructed in 2004.
