This is another picture of the Berliner Dom (Berlin Cathedral) after yesterdays reflection of this cathedral. Here is another picture with this building.

The Berliner Dom was completed in 1905. The first church on this site was built in 1465. A Baroque cathedral was completed in 1747 and in 1822 remodeled in the classicist style. On the German Emperor Wilhelm II's order, this cathedral was demolished and replaced by the present one, that was designed by Julius Raschdorff. This new cathedral was damaged during the war and after the war, a temporary roof was installed to protect the remainings of the interior and in 1975 the reconstruction started. The restoration of the interior was begun in 1984 and in 1993 the church reopened.

Unfortunately it had become cloudy when I took this picture after a bright morning... But if you would like to see the Dom with a much nicer sky, please check Stephen Inguanti's WS!

I cropped the picture and I increased the contrast.
Hope you like it!

Hi Lars, Now, we have a clear view of the architecture. It does look like a historic building. You have done a good job to capture some keys of the building: the outline; the environment; and the scale. I especially like the silhouettes of the status on both sides of the building and at the center of the building.
An excellent photo.

LarZ,
Jag har lyssnat på musik hela dagen, så nu är det tyst, så jag hör vad jag skriver. Vi ska ha fest i morgon eftersom Rob kommit över 1000 poäng. Vi bjöd in 25 personer faktiskt!
Vilken mastodontbyggnad du fått in på mindre än 200 kB! Guld i toppen och t o m gult på trafiklyset för att matcha kan jag tänka. En riktigt bra bild med lugna färger.
Magnus

Hi Lars,
A very beautiful building. The almost white sky bring out the shape and make it looks majestic! I love the details and the serious colours of the building. Thanks.

Another great shot Lars! The POV and composition are certainly excellent. I hope you find my workshop somewhat useful.

Bonjour Lars, belle représentation de la Cathédrale de Berlin. Angle de vue bien choisi.

Hi Lars!
Good captured architecture. Just a pity that weather was bad.
Regards.

Hi Lars,
Nice to see the Dome standing there, steady as a rock. I looked at the WS of Stephen. Sky is good, walls a little cleaned ok, but the change from sky to building is disturbs me a little.
groet Rob

very ncie building, I like the angle here and the dull look, very atmospheric, well done

Goedeavond Lars,
Het is een dominerend gebouw deze Dom, het is een fenominale architectuur foto, misschien Lars is hij ietsje minder scherp of dat ik hem graag zou zien, dat is natuurlijk persoonlijk.
De samenstelling vind ik darentegen perfect!
Groeten,
John.

An imponent and beautiful cathedral, Lars. Although you weren't lucky with the sky, the cathedral speaks for itself on this simple but pleasant work!

A classical shot on a classical place in Berlin. Even if the sky is sad and bad, I like your pic.
I like the way you defined the frame especially because, it's quite difficult to shoot this huge "square" building.
Even if I'm not sure the cars were worth it, a good work.
Stéphane
