After yesterday's final picture of die Gedächtniskirche, today my final picture of the dome of the Reichstag in Berlin.

The dome of the Reichstag was designed by Sir Norman Foster. The dome is made of steel and glass and was placed over the meeting-hall. Foster was awarded the Pritzker Prize in 1999 for his work on the building, from where you've a magnificent view on Berlin!

I took this picture when the weather was changing from sunny to cloudy.

I sharpened this picture a bit and increased the contrast.
Hope you like it!

Finally I would like to give you some links too! :-)

* die Reichstagkuppel

Hi Lars, Cool pic...the Reichstagkuppel is quite an impressive construction! Makes look the Reichstag better than in old times actually I think! Well captured...

Léonie

Hi Lars,
Nice view, with all that people like birds on a electric wire.
groet Rob

Lars, my compliments on the framing of this shot! The way the two structures converge on each other is special. Plus the inclusion of the people in the shot is an excellent decision. Here the overcast sky works in your favor by creating a contrast bordering on b/w photography. Another great shot!

Hi Lar, A very nice view of the inside. I like Rob's comments about the birds on a electric wire. Thanks for the notes about the place. It is very educational. Very good POV.

Very good inside architecture whith a nice effect from the suspended visitors.
Well balanced and done.
I like it

LarZ,

Goed werk!

Hi Lars!
I like your composition, is so surrealistic :) Nice effect with this people. Good work.
Regards.

bonjour Lars, belle architecture, beau graphisme et contraste entre les matériaux utilisés.

what a lovely structure, very good work, I liek the angle and the light management, well done

hi Lars, very nice photo and nice perspective. The light is very nice creating beautiful human silhouettes against the white sky. Those humans give also an idea about the scale of the dome. Well captured!

Dag Lars,

Hello Lars A perfectly tallied architecture, the sight of the vault is well highlighted. A good graphic composition.

A fine image and catch of this amazing architecture - I like the mix of people as well - thanks Lars for sharing this sight of Berlin - too bad I never been there.

Hi Lars! Very nice and interesting composition. I like the angle you chose here. Very impressive building! Well done.

Regards John

HI Laars, I like the relative small size of the people compared to the dome, its sort of blade runnerish futuristic environment.

Hoi Lars!
Well chosen pov that gives a nice perspective on the dome!Good to include some people in the compo this gives a very good scale.
Goed work!

Very interesting graphical presentation of the interior of the Reichtag dome, Lars.
An amazing piece of architecture you captured well chosing a good POV.

Very good composition, I like the lines given by the building and the silhouette of the people (the image of the birds on a wire is very good!).
I have just an idea that if you crop the bottom of the picture (where we can see the buildings), it makes an even more mysterious picture because we don't know where we are and where is the ground. What do you think?

He Lars, prachtige compositie. Het gebouw ziet er heel modern uit. Leuk al die soort trappen boven elkaar met mensen erop. Berlijn moet een prachtige stad zijn! Staat ook op mijn lijst om eens naar toe te gaan. Groetjes! Marina

It certainly is some dome. You can see some of the hi-tech that Foster started in in this structure, I think. The ramp is one thing, the glass and the mirror reverse cone. The ramp in your composition easily flows right up with people providing great links betweenthe levels. And it gives a three dimensional feel to this two dimensional image as the eye wants to continue around the dome and up and around. And I also like the light to dark at the top which helps draw the eye upward to the upper left corner. Nicely spotted out, Lars.

I don't know why I didn't see it before !?
This place seems to be magic and incredible to me. I can't understand how it is built...
A strange but interesting dof.
Stéphane

Hi Lars,
I´m still going through your wonderful gallery, full of good architectures photos!
Sir Norman Foster is one of the biggest references in Modern architecture, for me and my collegues in my office. This is a fantastic building, that I, unfortunately, haven't visit, yet.

Your shot is very good, with a very well chosen POV (and I know it isn't easy, when we are surrounded by such wonderful views in all the 360º!), showing us the way steel and glass can give such a creative piece of architecture. Very nice contrasts and the people in all those levels, help us to have a better perception of this dynamic space.
Again, congratulations for the good work and thanks for sharing it!
Friendly regards,
Ricardo

A beautifull architectural picture, Lars. I had heard about this re-created Dome of the Reichstag but never had the opportunity to see it. The style looks rather futuristic. Very good POV.

All the best,

Emmanuel
