Amazing, this foto! The lady gives to this foto a wonderful touch, between so much grey!

Congratulations,

Carla

The picture is really nice.. Really graphical...

However.. Why talking about the price?!
It's sounds cheap for me, only 2.76 euro per dead...

A beautiful shot full of graphism and poesy with this red girl. Pity it is quite blurry but anyway a strong composition.

Hello Kasper,
Excellente vue,splendides couleurs.
J'adore ce genre de composition très graphique!!!
C'est fantastique
Beau travail
Amicalement
Sébastien

Hi, Kasper, I think it is also a great graphic idea you had, but I have a problem with it being totally out of the context of this monument to mankind's murderous folly. Hopefully I am alone thinking this.

Visually this has potential. I think it would be better if she wasn't walking out of the frame though. I too feel this is out of place for the context of the monument, but if I were there and I saw a similar scene I'd have taken the photo as well.

It's a good photo and a mysterious one also. Of course the monument and a lady in red like that have nothing to do with another but that doesn't matter. This is succesful graphic rendering of shapes and colours and depth in a weird landscape.

A fine graphics and composition - I like the way you got that woman and the colour of her dress as contrast to the grey stones - congratulation and thanks Kasper.

Excellent perspective on this shot. The shapes/shadows/angles of the blocks offer an excellent contrast to the woman in red..well done.

Hello Kasper

Very nice shot! The woman gives an amazing effect to your picture.
Good job
Pierre

Bonjour Kasper,
Une photo très originale.
Presqu'une photo n/b avec cette touche de rouge.
Best regards.
Daniel.

Hi Kasper,
the monotonous gray squeres borken up by the red dressed beuty reminds me of some kind of science fiction movie a la Matrix.
Really powerful shot.
Regards
Daniel

Dunno what to say, like this shot very much. Well done!

Beautiful!!!

Nearly perfect shot. Congratulations, Kasper.

volumes , shadows , regular irregular shapes elegant dame in red to give the "contrepoint " of color ; and who knows if the lady is there remembering her gran mother or someone of her family

Looking at the thumbnail I thought of the little girl in red in Spielberg's film, but a summer dress has not quite the same effect.

Kasper, am very sorry to say, but I also agree with Kinginexile. I was shocked at the context... this is certainly not a place for "cool" catwalks... it is a memorial dedicated to one of the most haineous murders ever committed in history. Something not to be used as a prop for cool images, imho. If it weren't the context of the Holocaust, if these slabs were just laid down for fun and for children to play around as a playground, it would be a different story. But the whole context makes it, for me, very unpalatable.

Very good shot

Hi Kasper, excellent composition,....and taken in the right moment. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Michael

Kasper,

As one who grew up hearing of lost relatives and communities to the Holocaust, I take exception to those here who find this offensive or tasteless. To me, this would have been an interesting but not extraordinary photo, had I not known the context. The context makes it a very poignant photo indeed; an isolated island of humanity, anonymous, in a sea of monuments to the dead.

On Tisha b'Av, the Jewish day of mourning for the lost Temples and other tragedies, the symbol often found in the calendars for the afternoon of the day is a flower growing from the Temple ruins. That is what this photo suggests to me.

I do have to add that it has a couple of technical problems; the background is oddly out of focus for f/16; also, I would have placed the woman not quite so close to the left edge.

But those are technical issues, nothing more.

Regards,
Dan
