That's a great photo a sums up the area quite nicely. I realy like the composition (very well captured from a moving vehicle) with the barn/stahdl in the foreground and the remainder in the background. The gloom and low clouds really convey the opressive alpine winter.

very nice photo, especially considering the circumstances - usually pictures taken from moving trains hardly come out in good quality. You canactually feel the mood here.

This photo has atmosphere. I really like the foggy background to the old barns. Well done!
Best regards,
Jan
Nice winter view: very appropriate considering the weather in the last few days! Good perspective and nice misty composition.
Well done!

Misty land :-) You was lucky to catch this very special moment of pre-winter land, with barns here and there like snowflowers in a springtime. Beautiful shot!

Hi Kari,
very nice composition and peaceful scenery. Maybe you could have added some contrast though (but i think it might be quite difficult without blowing the brighter parts).

A wise decision to take this shot Kari; it does make for an unusual and slightly surreal view with all those barns dotted about the place. In fact, if you had not said so yourself, I don't think anyone would guess that this shot was taken from a train.

Hi Kari,
I always love these type of scenes. When I am driving along in Germany I often video tape the ride just so I can show friends when I get home how peaceful and serene these type of settings are. I always tell them, you can't truly get the feel for it on the video like you can if you are there. But, it sure beats not being able to see it at all.
Great shot through the not so clean moving train window!
peace,
haans :)

Hi Kari, this is a beautiful scene. :) And I understand how hard these shots are to get because I often take shots through the windows of trains and busses, too. Anyway, nice composition, and I like the fog. I do think it would benefit from a little more contrast, though.
Thanks for sharing!

Hi Kari,
i know this place from a different time of the year...it is usually more green and sparkling with terrific colours...therefore seeing it from this misty perspective is something new for me...a truly melancholic image...cheers, arturo
