watching the tower

Well... I once somewhere found a postcard with a similar POV, so when I was standing next to the fountain, I just tried to find a figure looking in direction of the tower and to find the right position (which meant getting down to about 20cm over soil *g*). Maybe someone has done the same thing before, but well... this is my version of it then.
Btw. This is Alexanderplatz in Berlin, the Fernsehturm was built from 1965 to 1969. It is 368,03 m high, and Germany's highest and Europes second highest building, and the fountain is the Neptun-Fountain from 1888. |

I wonder if it would have been possible to choose a viewpoint where the face would be more visible. Good shot anyway! Obviously there's lots of people that use the opportunity to touch the breast when they know that the object does not hit back.

Hi Bertolt.
I think the view you have chosen is a great one.
I was there but never found this statue, nor think about making a composition with the tower. Excelent view, great colours.
take care, Aleks
Hello Bertolt, this is a very different view and shot from Berlin ... not the same Bundestag or Potsdamer Platz! A great POV and good colours! I love different/strange composition of a well-known monument or bulding to avoid a boring photo! Bye Sergio
Hi Bertolt
Interesting point of view and good composition, colour saturation and use of the DOF

Your pov is quite interesting, even if I wish we could have seen the face of the statue.
Great soft gold light.
Good sharpness too.
