Neuschwanstein Castle is near the Forggensee in the Allgäu, very close to Schwangau. The path to the castle starts in the village of Hohenschwangau, and this is also your last opportunity to park. You must buy your tickets down here too, before you set off for the castle.

Neuschwanstein is one of the most popular of all the palaces and castles in Europe. Every year 1.3 million people visit "the castle of the fairy-tale king". In the summer around 6,000 visitors a day stream through rooms that were intended for a single inhabitant.

Millions of pictures are taken from this place, so were to start?
I came home with some standard shots taken from the Marien Bridge. Standing near other tourist so we made all the same pictures. At home i converted the RAW file and saw nothing more than a dull and light grey image. Decided to give him a complete other look with some filters and some color adjustment layers in Photoshop. At the end i had a kind of Indian summer look.

Any comment is more than welcome..!!!

This is a very nice view of this famous Bavarian castle. I presume you took this from the Marienbrücke. The image is nice and sharp, has great colours and the castle sits under a nice cloudy sky. Nice work and thanks for sharing.

Wow! Quelle belle photo du Neuschwanstein Castle. Le blanc du château se marie très bien avec les tons sombres de la forêt. Le château est également bien rendu grâce au soleil qui l'éclair bien. Bravo pour cette photo!

Ik bezocht het kasteel vorig jaar in de zomer. Het is inderdaad drummen op de brug om een fototje te nemen.
De kleurcorrecties zijn passend bij dit sprookjeskasteel en daarom ook aanvaardbaar vind ik.
Ik post vandaag nog mijn foto op deze plaats genomen..

Hello Henk,
I went in Stuttgart last month with my girlfriend, so we planned on going there. She would have liked to go...unfortunately, we did not have the chance to reach it.
I like the point of view you found...it's not the classic spot, it it? I also like the "kind of Indian summer look" that you gave it.
The dodging and burning gave it a 3D effect. Unfortunately, it also gave it a huge halo around the castle that makes it a little less appealing...I think it's a bit overdone.
