[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
After my visit to Berlin in March 2003, I became fascinated with the events that surrounded the end of the Second World War and the building of the famed Berlin Wall. When I came home, urged to know more about it, I bought the wonderful book "The Wall: The People’s Story" by Christopher Hilton. It presents the wall from a different view, from conception to its destruction, and it is a terrific read. He focuses on the people itself, rather than any political essay on the subject. Across the book, he punctuates it with first-hand accounts of escapers, separated families, border guard histories and examples of the tragic consequences of attempted escapes. He also adds the needed social and political context among all these stories.
The cover of the book is a B&W picture. I decided to post my own alternate version. I don’t want to divagate a lot more about it, although I really wanted... Just a short photographic note to tell you it was taken in the East Side Gallery, a 1.3km-long section of the wall near the center of Berlin. It is a live art set painted by more than 100 artists from different nationalities. The one portrayed in this photo is by Kani Alavi painted in September 1998.
Comments are more than welcomed.

This would be a shame in b/w. Those colors are just too good. I really like the motioblur here. I was wandering if you can set the f stop or shutter speeds manually with your camera.

maybe 1/6 was a lettle bit to low
but i love this idea
