Living on the river
 |
|
| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
River ship Jacoba anchoring at Koblenz for the night.
A scene that put me thinking what would it be like to earn a living on shipping on the Rhine. Watching the scene changing slowly upstream and a little faster downstream... |

Kari, technically the image is very good, well composed and exposed. But I want to know more, either the ferry itself, of the environment or what the men are doing. I find my attention splitted into questions. Which is good if this is part of a series and this one is the intro image.
Best regards,
Enrique

Hi Kari,
Having lived on a boat for several years, one of my planned trips is a barge cruise somewhere in Europe. I thought this might be the year but my parent's rapidly declining health makes me worry about leaving. So for now I will enjoy your view of riverboats and views around the river. I am enjoying this series very much and I have no trouble imagining their life. Of course as your other critiques state, color, detail, and framing are all excellent...Pat
Interesting daily life scene, although as Enrique says it does raise a lot of questions. I suppose it just transports people and their cars up and down the river, often a pleasant way to travel.
