This photo was taken from the ICE train passing this city. The tall spire looked incredible and it wasn't until later i saw the construction cranes.
Ulm is a city in the German Bundesland of Baden-Württemberg, situated on the river Danube, about 100 km south-east of Stuttgart and 130 km north-west of Munich. The city, whose population is estimated at 120,000 (2005), forms an urban district of its own (Germ.: Stadtkreis) and is the administrative seat of the Alb-Donau district. Ulm, founded around 850 AD, is rich in history and traditions as a former Imperial Free City (Germ.: Reichsstadt). Today, it is an economic center due to its varied industries, and it is the seat of a university (University of Ulm, founded in 1967). Internationally, Ulm is primarily known for its gothic cathedral and as the birthplace of Albert Einstein. (Wikipedia) |

Pretty view with awesome architecture, i like it.
Hi Murray,
A good POV of the city of Ulm and of the gothic cathedral, the photo is sharp and clear. It has a good perspective and nice colors. Thanks for sharing.
Pierre
Hi Murray,
Nice capture, good lines in composition!
Typical German architecture, with the chatedral dominating the view...
Not quite the usual sharpness in details, maybe dirty window in combination with moving train!
Greetings,
Pablo -
Hi Murray
A nice shot with these historical buildings in a great setting. You have captured the scene well and the distribution of trees makes the shot nicely balanced. The cranes in the shot are a good addition as they add some contrast to the historical setting. Good work.

Hi Murray, The bank curvedly stretch from the lower corner of the image and the peaks of the towers converge from higher corner of the image to form a nicely composed image. Nice color contrast and good sharpness.
Hi Murray - for a shot taken from a moving (fast!) train this is quite successful, shame about the cranes and scaffolding.
