Besides the surprising advertising a perfect roof tiling caught my attention here.
Boppard is a small town along the Rhine river in a place where it makes a perfect horseshoe curve between hills. No doubt it's crowded by tourists during a holiday season. And tourists want souvenirs...

The upper middle Rhine valley (Mittelrhein) has been Unesco world heritage site since 2002.

Neatly smooth roof and neat advertisement. I am not quite sure about the compo though. Even though we get to see the things that caught your eye, the picture itself is perfapps a bit too tight/busy for my eye. I can't rest my eye anywhere and don't really like the jumps it's making between unfinished things both on top and at the bottom of the shot... perhaps my eyes have been spoiled :P
In any case, it's a lovely sight of something quite unsual and very local (in my guess) so it still remains a worthwhile picture! :D

Interesting roof detail, and surpring to see the sign in English. I think on the whole I agree with Julia, though I think there's enough interest there to carry it.

The cuckoo clock sign is a fun sign, but what I prefer here is the detail of the roof windows with the tils curves leading to their top, makes me think of what they do in Poland but the style is diffrent here.

Hi Kari,
The excellent detail in your photo is also a good advertisement for the amazing work of the roofers; The steep angle of the roof with the smooth curve of the cupolas are like little moguls on a ski hill. Well seen!!
