RegionalBahn train to Wiesbaden approaching wine producing town of Rüdesheim.

There's a railway on both sides of the Rhine river. Between Koblenz and Mainz all ICE, IC and other long distance trains use the west bank. This eastern side railway is reserved for freight trains with just a few local stopping connections.

Perfect POV for this beautiful image, the sky crowed of wires is the right background for this beautiful composition, compliments Kari, beautiful portrait.
Have a nice day

Hi Kari
Another great example of your beautiful collection of train photos at TE.
Those green of light blue posts and wires make a very nice effect, in contrast with the bold train.

Great framing for this colourful train's portrait kari , well done indeed.

Hi Kari,
Another fine train photo. I like your POV here, with the tracks first in front of you and then curving away. You have caught the train perfectly, so that we not only see the face of the engine but also the entire length of the train and all of the cars. I really like all the wires and transformers above, appearing to be all tangled up together. Very interesting shot. Well done.
Regards, Jackie

Hi Kari,
I really enjoy your train photos! What I like in this one, besides the well positioned train in the curve, are all those wire and other stuff that we can see above the train. The little red lights scattered over the photo also add a pleasant splash of color.
Have a nice day.
Brigitte

Terve Kari,
A good one for the train series taken just as the lok is turning to face you, the red of course attracts but I like as well the environment with many railway elements. I'd prefer RhB to Db though...
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Well timed shot leaving plenty of room for the train to come into the frame. The same placement enables the rails to act as a lead-in to the image. That's an amazing conglomeration of wires!

Hello Kari,
This is a good photograph of the moving train!
Tele compression works nicely to make the scenery appear compact, very good lines in the composition...
The red train stands out well!
Have a great spring WE,
Pablo -

Ah Ruedesheim. Beautiful on both sides. Now thats a nice shot of the DB. Right on the left rail. I like your telephoto shots.

Amazing the number of wires and electric poles for just a few railway.

Great angle of capture with a full view of this high colored train near Wiesbaden.
