Type HK metro train at the elevated station of Bülowstrasse on the Berlin metro line U2. This track section belongs to the oldest part of Berlin's metro network opened in 1902 as Berliner Hoch- und Untergrundbahn.

Berlin wall caused a lot of changes to transit systems of the city. Also this station had no trains during 70's and 80's as there was no connection to East Berlin. Instead the station was used as a bazaar. Bülowstrasse was reopened in 1993.

Cropped a little from 22mm. Darkened sky.

Hi Kari. Excellent capture. The train stands out well with its bold colour. Strong diagonal composition also. Nice work and thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

Great editing job on this one Kari. It's perfect for me. I remember this sight from my Berlin visit and I always loved to see those old railway bridges. The yellow train gives a lot of life here and the wet pavement is great. I like this one very much.

Hello Kari,
Interesting photo and note too! Very sharp, and the colours are great too. Well done. Regards.

Hej Kari,
An other good train image. excellent to have yellow train to light tp the city architecture, that also goes well with the window sign beneath. and good sky.

Hi Kari,
The framing is excellent with teh diagonal og the train, the detail of the stairway and that bit of bright sky: great management of the difference in light in the sky and the dark building.
But your note is what really puts this over the top for me; it's so nice to think that such a big change was resolved so effectively. It always gives me some hope for other changes when I contemplate this one.
HLJ, Pat

Terve Kari,
There's not plenty of direct light on this image so it is a real bonus they paint their metros in yellow, good timing to get the maximum of this train to add as much of that yellow to your image
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves
