Class 485 S-Bahn commuter train leaving the new Berlin Hbf (central station) following the Stadtbahn line towards west.

Stadtbahn crosses centre of Berlin as an elevated line in East-West direction. It was opened in 1882 and proper S-Bahn service with electric trains started in 1924. Stadtbahn also connects the former main stations of the divided Berlin: Zoologischer Garten in the west and Alexanderplatz in the east.

Cropped from 22 mm.

Hi Kari,
Great...very good. You told me you had panning shots and this one is a very good try. The letters in front are pin sharp, but more important that human inside looking towards you...GREAT..!!! Next time a TGV on an open field with 300km, that would be the ultimate catch ;-)
I love these kind of pictures, shows action, movement and they way we see it with our eyes is totally different than we capture it in an image.
Great work, i like it a lot.
Regards, Henk

This style psoting , itis not easy ..be sure , Great shot and good settings camera.
bravo mon ami Réal.

Nice pan shot karj , very well executed , compliments.
Stefano.

Hi Kari
A great panning shot because the train is relatively sharp and the rest of the landscape is nicely blurred. Well done.
Phil

Hi Kari, pictures i like, when using motion and panning the result is very appealing ... when perfectly done, this is the case here and even if 1/50 sec is not very slow the result is great enough due to the speedness of the train.
Well cropped, i like it, congratulations.
... As soon as weather will be better my next shooting session will be based on panning

Not necessariliy my kind of photo but I think you used this technique successfully. I'm scared to look at these things now, a few days ago a man was dragged for 3 blocks and torn into bloody pieces after he fell as he was trying to board the tram here in San Francisco. Witnesses saw ribs, organs all over the street, only one leg remained. Awful tragedy.

Kari: more excellent action photography - great transmission of kinetics in this canvas. regards, c

Excellent panning, Kari! Although that is a train, not F1 car, so keep trying, but with faster objects :)
