One more watermill at Livadia city.
Livadia
Livadia is a city in central Greece. It is the capital of the prefecture Boeotia. Livadeia is located 130 km NW of Athens, E of Nafpaktos, ESE of Amfissa and Desfina, SE of Lamia and west of Chalkida. Livadeia is linked with GR-48 and several kilometres west of GR-3. The area around Livadeia are mountainous while farmlands are mainly in valley areas. Levadia's industry are urban and rural in the outskirts.
Antiquities
Pausanias, writing in the 2nd century CE, reported that the original name of the city was Mideia, and that it took its name Lebadeia from Lebedos of Athens, who moved the city to its current location on the banks of the Herkyna river (Bk IX.39). The sacred protector of the city was the hero/god Trophonios, whose oracle, involving a harrowing descent into an underground chamber, was famous beyond the borders of Greece. At the springs of the Herkyna river are shallow grottos with niches and marble remnants said to be the site of the oracle. On the hill above is a small medieval castle, mostly the work of the Catalan Company during the 14th century, accessible by foot. Further west, commanding a dramatic view from the hill of Profitis Ilias, are the remains of a large temple of Zeus Basileus, perhaps begun in the 3rd century BCE but never completed. The cathedral church of St. George houses an important relic, a head of St. George, translated to Venice in the 15th century but restored to Livadeia as a gesture of interfaith cooperation in 1999.In medieval times the river was lined by a series of water mills, one of which is preserved.

Nice photo; i think if you use a low speed shutter will be more nice to give the water a nice waterfall effect.

Hi Peter,
Not easy to do a slow shutter speed with light in front of you, that gave a white sky, but it also gave a nice effect on the falling water. The diagonal of the structures gives dynamism to the picture.

Hi Peter.
A wonderful composition with the image of this old mill, I like the POV that gives a nice perspective, the effect of that ideal water falling vertically along the wall.
I was not very easy to the angle of light, but you've solved solvency, very natural beautiful color.
Have a happy weekend.
Best regards.

Another interesting old mill well preserved and with a nice architecture. The stone walls offer fine textures and the light present is very good. I like how you have taken both the building and the waterfall which create a good sense of depth.
also the walls where the water and the stones below falls offer interesting details.
Quite a good work,

Hello Peter,
The lovely waterfall as a foreground works very well together with the watermill. I like very much how you have organized the entire image so skilfully. The waterfall is not overpowering the mill. The foreground is very effective but you didn’t forget the main interest here, which is the watermill. The understated presence of the mill is really nice. This is where the title and the provided visual material work together most effectively. The natural colour rendering is another aspect of the photo that I like very much.
With my very best wishes,
Have a very nice Friday evening, Peter
