Photographer's Note

A view from Crithoni to the bay of Alinda, Leros. The presence of the boat says that the summer season has started, although it seems to be very modest for the moment. Every summer a lot of boats approach the bays of Leros for a few hours (or days), they are a pleasant sight for those watching from the shore. They are private or hired boats touring the Greek islands free to spend as much time as they wish in little harbours or inlets, approaching the main islands or the enchanting islets near them.
The first boats are like swallows to spring, they announce the coming of summer holidays, the revival of the islands. The evolution of this summer is highly unpredictable, though.

Is that an Aussie gum tree (eucalypt) that I see? The double window frame provides excellent graphism & also nicely frames the outside scene of the boat, tree, & water. Reasonable sharpness & good sidelight & shadow detail inside the building. Tfs!

This is technically a very hard to do photo. I know this because frankly I have so many unsuccessful attempts regarding a similar shot. I must admit you've attained a pretty well result. The window frame you chose for this shot is lovely, having a double frame with twelve subframes. Let me have a fantasy; each subframe depicts a month of the year; the left sash are winter and spring, right sash are summer and autumn. Left sash gave us a view of a spring tree, and the right sash offers a lovely blue sea with a charming boat. You're chasing the inside and outside analogy with your last two uploads and I highly appreciate your efforts. This time again, the balance of light between inside and outside are excellent too, the inexplicit details inside enforces the curious viewer to dig more. Another outstanding effort my friend, many thanks. Have a lovely and bright WE.

I like the composition, it looks like a wall calendar with parts of a scene on each month created by the window frame. Good use of the dof with nice details. Wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.

What a clever idea to choose a window to frame your picture! And it has worked so very well too.

You have also managed the exposure here very well - not an easy thing to do in this sort of situation. We stand in the cool interior looking out at the bright sunlight on the water, the boat and the trees, all in glorious vibrant colours and excellent sharpness.

Roll on summer! This picture has a good mood seen thru this vision and is very cheerful indeed. Oh yes, really a very kind makes us feel good for the upcoming summer days and nicely taken with pleasant arrangement. Tremendous of photo excitement there except probably the weather nearing summer, so be prepared for that. This has a really warm feel to it and nicely composed, but the speck of blue and white pulls attention in and strikingly creates a nice contrast overall. Very nicely done, Cheers!

Nice describe about the incoming flock of tourists, when summer starts. Sure if one has a boat, living in the Mediterranean and especially in Greece - he/she would do just that.
Nice view through the window (your window?), "checkered framing" to the scene.
Nice idea, fine applied.
