Photographer's Note

I’ve been away for a week in the Cotswolds and have plenty of photos from there, but I will continue with my Greece photos for now.

I will continue where I left off in the pretty village of Pyrgos on the island of Tinos. Pyrgos is the centre for marble sculpting for which the island is renowned.
Like many Greek villages it is a joy to walk around and discover charming corners. This day was very bright and exposure was a challenge. I chose this one to show you, taken around 14:30; a bad time for photography, although the shade presented by the narrow streets helps.

Before lunch, 2½ hours earlier we had passed this way, and I took the wider view, which is in the WS. You can see the difference in the light.
