Photographer’s Note
Amorgos is the island of the Aegean Sea that is really hit hard by winds. In August, the strong etesian winds of the Aegean blow making the island sometimes inaccessible by boat. At the southern part of the island land provides a cover to the coast making the waters still, while if you turn to face the open sea enormous waves are flying away from the land...
(thankfully I had my telephone with me and the picture was taken)
