Photographer's Note
The little church of Theotokaki lies within the castle walls of the hill top town of Pyrgos on the picturesque volcanic island of Santorini, Greece. It is one of the oldest churches on the island and is reached by climbing the narrow streets of the beautiful old town.

Hi Brian,
The light in Greece must be amazing, a bit like we have here in Australia. The colours are so deep. I like the neat division with the shadow and light, it makes the composition more interesting.

hello Brian ,
Another great one , especially in terms of exposure . It would have been yet more perfect , if the lamp has been placed in the V of the blue sky .

Nice close up on the details of this colourful church. The lamp on the left is a plus as well as the blue window which stands out against the white wall.
Good job

Hi Brian,
Well composed, excellent tone and an impressive photograph!
I like these architecture with simple colors.
The whole is harmonized well by architecture, wall, stairs and sky. And, the shadow draws out a good effect for the whole, I think.

Hello Brian,
Strong contrasts and dark shadows can sometimes ruin a picture, but in this case the shades on the street and the church wall have become important elements of the composition. They take part of an interesting game of light, shapes and colours. This is a very good observation and a fine composition.

Gert

Hi Brian,
Strong lines of colors and contrasts makes this wonderful scene. Static but beautiful in your original way.
Have a good night.

Hello Brian,
A well chosen and humorous title to illustrate your painting! Deep well boosted colours by the UV filter
which contrast on a very pleasant way. A POV a little more on the left could have prevented the superposition of the lantern on the bell tower, but this is a subjective matter. Good job anyway, for sure !
Best regards,
Guy.

Hi Brian
Perfect square composition, extreme sharpness and superb definition, the luminous impression is truly marvelous.
The wide black frame makes the luminous effect stand out further.
Best wishes, Hisashi

Bonjour Brian!
Dès que je suis rentré dans ta fiche de présentation j'ai compris que j'allais me régaler! En effet, l'art de la composition et de l'assemblage des couleurs n'a pas de secrets pour toi. De plus l'élégance est toujours présente! Bravo!
Antonio
