potami_beach_2016
Potami is a long pebble beach with clean waters on Samos northeast coast. The beach is accessible by car or on foot from Karlovassi.
The beach consists mainly of pebbles. Some nearby restaurants and a snack bar on the beach.Potami (meaning “river” in Greek) is an 800 meters long pebbly beach with rather deep and clean sea, not protected at all from the northern winds which raise high waves when blowing. It is situated at the northern coast of the island, some 34 kilometers far from the town of Samos at the Northwest and 2 kilometers after Karlovasi.

how come there are no people on the beach? is it cold?
so surprising to see this place so empty! perhaps in the summer months its more populated?

easy to see why you wanted to post this one, its full of colours, full of ocean beauty. its a place we want to visit just be viewing it here

That's a very idyllic setting, the blue water is intensely lagoon like and the yellow flowers stand out so well against it. Nicely done

A deserted beach beautifully situated against green forested hills.

I have never visited Samos. This photo certainly makes me want to. Who can resist such a scene. A wonderful view of the beach from a high viewpoint. Lovely colours. The bright yellow flowers works so well as a foreground. Lovely work:) TFS.

Wow ! What an attractive "double beach" ! What is especially gorgeous is the contrast between the yellow flowers and the turquoise water . I like the little red roofed house in the greenery , too .

This is a lovely view and a very nice composition. The beach makes two fine curves between the dark green trees and the clear blue water. For the foreground you found some lovely yellow flowers making this a totally bright and beautiful photo.

Lovely vantage point overlooking the beach. The coastline leads the eye very nicely towards the rock in the right hand background. The colours are most pleasant and I particularly like the yellow flowers in the foreground.

this is a beautiful scenery from nice Samos. I have been to Samos several times but unfortunately I haven't been to this beach. The yellow flowers in the foreground create a good depth and lifts the scene with fresh color tones. Well done!
