Photographer’s Note
On the rocks above of the Ionian Sea or.... deep down there in a boat.....
This is a picture from the island Zakynthos in the neighbourhood of the shipwreck in Navagiou which is often photographed and can be found and seen on this site. I won't post one because the view is always the same:)) See the different blue-tones in the water, a beautiful panorama we had there.
The title ? The Carpenters of course:-))

Hi Hans,
I have no idea if you’re standing on a plattform or what, but it looks more as if you’re gliding over this beautiful sea. This is a very unusual and attractive view with a stunning result! The boat is a good indicator about the vertiginous height you were standing and it’s perfectly placed in your composition.
Have a nice week-end!

Hi Hans,
This really looks like being on top of the world. Excellent top angle shot and that tiny size of the boat gives us an idea how high you must be. The colours and shades of the water are simply fascinating.

Hi Hans
Wow - this must surely be one for the vertigo theme - excellent job to get the boat in the lower corner - a true feeling of height.

Hoi Hans,
Zonnig weekend,
John

wow
this does make one wonder if the camera was on a pole..
this shot is out of the ordinary as it doesnt have a viewpoint which is 'ordinary' and takes the viewer into an area not usually met...ie solid ground..:)
powerful spec of detail is the boat..without it this would just fade into another holiday snap type genre
excellent and well timed shot
cheers

Hi Hans.
We can feel a bit as seagulls while looking at your contribution! And I must confess that I think that seaguls on Zakinthos are particularly lucky to be able to fly over such turquoise waters. Congratulations for the light management: it was probably not so easy, with the famous ionian white limestones!
Thanks for sharing.

Bonjour, mon ami Hans,

Hi Hans, really impressive picture there, the POV en plongée is excellent. I think i've already seen some pic of this place, seems to be the place where there is a boat sank on sand. The blue of the sea is awesome and the little boat gives an idea of the size of rocks.
Excellent :)

Hi Hans,
Spectacular and vertiginous the POV that you have chosen for your photo.
This view is impressive, with as much depth, in a plane that increases the sensation of emptiness, as we can appreciate by the size of the boat.
I like the color of the water of the sea with the great variety of tones, and the rocks of the cliff illuminated by the sun.
Good photo.

Josep

Great picture, beautiful clear sea and white cliffs - reminds me of a poem by Friedrich Schiller I had to remember when in school about a ring tossed into the depths of this sea.
