Photographer’s Note
In the north of Hios we may not find as much villages as in the south, however, there are many things one should not miss in this area. Here you will find the highest mountain of the island and the village of Volisos, famous for its Castle. Besides, it is in this part of the island where the National Resistance movement against the German found its recess in the abandoned town of Kidiada.
Siderounda is located at the northwestern part of the island, 38 Km. from Hios town. Built on a hill, it has a splendid view of the western coast of Hios & of the Aegean Sea.
