Photographer's Note

"Syd Barrett disappeared one night into the woods,
but the man who created him, Roger Keith Barrett,
preferred to live alone, far from the machinations
of the world. As he walked down deserted Cambridge
roads, Barrett might have thought of the thunder and
lighting that was music, and smile at he passed it all by....”

Friday July 7th 2006 - Syd Barrett passes away
peacefully at home in South Cambridge.
One year after, one more bike to remember....

“It's awfully considerate of you to think of me here
And I'm most obliged to you for making it clear
That I'm not here.

And what exactly is a dream?
And what exactly is a joke? “

Syd on Jugband blues song,1968.

In the workshop you can see an old photograph
of Syd and a photo of his bikes...

Shine on for ever, crazy Diamond...
