Photographer’s Note
Meteora is from the biggest and most important group of monasteries in Greece after those in Mount Athos. We can locate the first traces of their history from 11th c. when the first hermits settled there. The rock monasteries have been characterized by Unesco as a unique phenomenon of cultural heritage and they form one of the most important stations of cultural map of Greece.
Is a magic land ....is the place that you never stop wonder ...and where i felt in love with this beautiful country :)
I dedicate this one to my friend Stelios

Hi Anes, very beautiful and clear photo. The place itself is so amazing that it was a good choice to keep the photo unspectacular and straight! Regards, Johannes

What a magical place this is! The huge rock formations are very dramatic, with shear rock faces jutting up from the trees. The smooth surfaces make an interesting contrast with the texture of the trees too. When you add in the buildings of the monestary perched in the middle of this, you have a mythical landscape. Well done!

Even I'm not from Larisa, though I have many friends from up there.
I envy you for this photo, I haven't really been there, (shame of me)
but you have, and you did a great job, great composition, well placed!
Thank you very much, you're one of the most charismatic photographers in TE, I'm honored for the dedication and for knowing you.
My Best Regards my dear friend, and my congratulations for the shot

Hi Anes,
a classical landscape, but through your eyes even more beautiful ! The rocks are well structured with the shadows, too.

Hi Anes,
So unusual place to see from you, though we recently got well informed about Meteora with Hercules' last photos.
It is a nice presentation, with very little or not so obvious pp, but i can say that the light not was not the best. It is a little bit dark for a landscape photo.
Cheers,
Deniz

i played with your photo in WS, to see how it would be with less red tones (and less contrast too), just a try for fun as your shot is good and there is nothing to add, it's just well done,
and yes a magic place !
one more place i would like to see once in my life

Excellent exposure that is crisp and sharp. The detail in the rocks is very visible.

Hi Anelisse,
Nice crisp photo, I love the clarity in here, very good sharpness and detail too. The photo has a lot of punch thanks to this and the fine (midtone) contrast. Lovely dedication to Stelios.
Fine natural colours that fit the scene. I like the panoramic crop too, it works in a strong way for this scene. A magic land indeed, I wish you a magical Christmas and a happy new year full of good compositions like these and fine exposures.
Cheers,
Emiel from the Netherlands.
