I like this picture, Maggie. I like it's subtlety: it's subtle changes of colour and gentle shifts of tone and texture.It is not an image screaming for attention but one that carries a more gentle message. It conveys very well the sad, wistful mood of this abandoned garden and the lily is like a shaft of light, at a bold angle across the frame, brings the whole thing to life. Regards kevin,

Hi Maggie, I like this little peep into a neglected corner. Nice colour tones and light, and good framing form the wall on the left and branch above.

Hello Maggie,

This is an entrancing corner. No wonder you returned to a site with such appeal.
The support pole seems to play a large part in the composition, in partnership with the roof. I like how the lily is following a parallel path.
Great contrast in textures, and lovely colour tones.

Hi Maggie,
Recently I saw a couple of photos from Greece and today someone even mentioned Greece... I myself have never been
there, but images like this one always attract my attention - not only nice and glitzy images, but tiny
little corners that hide secrets and evoke many memories.
And this is one of them, that remind me of a similar places
I know and appreciate, wild, forgotten, untouched for
a longer period of time...

The bough of the tree makes an excellent frame for the top of the image. Looking through there are lots of diagonals that always make viewing easy on the eye. You have a wonderful eye for hidden details.
